PureAir’s PP Blend is a 50/50 mixture of potassium permanganate–based media (PureAir 8) and acid-gas removal media (Sulphasorb 2™). It is specifically designed to remove corrosive gases typically found in the pulp & paper industry, as well as petrochemical and refining operations.

Note: PP Blend media meets UL certification requirements.

After the trays are filled with PP Blend media, they are inserted into the unit to perform gas adsorption and odor removal.

Construction and Removal Capability of PP Blend

The PP Blend mixed media combines the properties and benefits of PureAir 8 and Sulphasorb 2™:

PureAir 8: Spherical pellets with very fine pores, manufactured from activated alumina and binders, impregnated with potassium permanganate to provide optimal adsorption and oxidation for multiple gas-phase contaminants.

PureAir Sulphasorb 2™: Spherical or cylindrical high-grade activated carbon pellets with fine pores for acid gas removal.

Sulfur dioxide: 7.0% by weight
Nitric oxide: 2.5% by weight
Nitrogen dioxide: 14.95% by weight
Formaldehyde: 1.5% by weight
Chlorine: 5.9% by weight
