PureAir 4 targets a wide range of corrosive gases, offensive odors, and other unwanted airborne contaminants. PureAir 4 activated alumina–based media is manufactured from high-quality activated alumina to ensure maximum adsorption capacity. This alumina is then impregnated with potassium permanganate. This odor adsorbent media meets UL certification requirements.

Construction and Removal Capability of PureAir 4

PureAir 4 is produced in spherical or cylindrical pellets with very fine pores (micron level), formed from a combination of powdered activated alumina and binders, then impregnated with potassium permanganate to provide optimal adsorption, diffusion, and oxidation performance for multiple types of gaseous contaminants.

Removal capacity of PureAir 4 activated alumina–based odor adsorbent media:

Hydrogen sulfide: minimum 0.07 g/cc (8.0% by weight)
Sulfur dioxide: 4.0% by weight
Nitric oxide: 2.85% by weight
Nitrogen dioxide: 10% by weight
Formaldehyde: 1.4% by weight

During system operation, the adsorbent pellets are loaded into odor-adsorption trays or modules and then inserted into the odor control unit.

Thanks to the easy-to-install / easy-to-replace design, customers can significantly reduce operating and maintenance costs — buy the housing once, then periodically replace only the media inside and continue to run the system long term.
